The Vail Skating Festival puts on free, 15-minute outdoor figure skating shows on Vail's village rinks this winter, starting Friday, November 27, 2026 on the Arrabelle Ice Rink in Lionshead. There are two shows each night, at 4:45 and 5:30 pm, with Team USA, international and seasoned professional skaters, and the line-up changes from week to week.

Where to watch

The Arrabelle rink sits in the plaza in front of The Arrabelle at Vail Square in Lionshead Village; the later shows move to the Solaris rink in Vail Village. The shows are short and outdoors, so arrive a few minutes early for a spot at the rail and dress warmly.

On November 27 the first show coincides with the Lionshead tree lighting and Smile with Santa.
