Taste of Vail is the town's spring wine and food festival, and the 2027 edition runs from Wednesday, March 31 to Saturday, April 3, 2027. It falls in the last weeks of ski season, so tastings on the streets of Vail Village and on the mountain sit alongside a full day on the snow. The festival was founded in 1990 and is run by a nonprofit that works with chefs and wineries from the valley and from around the world.

What the Signature Pass covers

The Signature Pass is the main ticket. For 2027 it includes the four signature events:

• Opening Night
• Apres Tasting, held outdoors in Vail Village
• Mountain Celebration, a tasting up on Vail Mountain
• Grand Tasting, the Saturday finale

The pass includes an official tasting glass, wine, beer and spirit tastings where offered, and food from participating chefs and restaurants. Session times for 2027 had not been published when we checked.

Tickets and price

The early bird Signature Pass is $579 until October 1, 2026 or until that allocation sells out, after which the price rises to $775. Passes are non-refundable. Every event is 21 and over, and you need government photo ID at the door.

Seminars and wine dinners

Beyond the signature events, the festival sells separate tickets for wine seminars and winemaker dinners. In 2026 these included a kickoff dinner at Ludwig's inside the Sonnenalp and seminars in Lionshead; the 2027 line-up will appear on the festival site closer to the dates.

Good to know

Parking in Vail is limited and the town garages charge a fee, so the organizers suggest leaving the car at your lodging and riding the free Town of Vail buses. If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, email the festival at least two weeks before the event.
