The Vail Ski & Snowboard Swap is the valley's pre-season gear sale, held this year from Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 4, 2026 in Alpine Hall at the Grand Hyatt Vail in Cascade Village. Entry is free with a timed ticket, and the swap benefits Ski & Snowboard Club Vail.

Expect new and gently used alpine skis, snowboards, boots and bindings alongside outerwear, with used gear consigned by the public at swap prices. It is a practical way to kit out a family before the lifts open, or to sell last season's skis.

• Friday, October 2: 5–9 pm
• Saturday, October 3: 11 am–6 pm
• Sunday, October 4: 11 am–3 pm

Tickets and entry

Entry is free, but the organizers ask you to reserve a free ticket in advance through Eventbrite. All major credit cards are accepted, and all sales are final, so check boot sizes and binding compatibility before you buy.

Selling your gear

New and used gear is sold on commission, with proceeds benefiting Ski & Snowboard Club Vail. The remaining community drop-offs are Wednesday, September 30 at the Ski & Snowboard Club Vail Clubhouse (4–7 pm) and a final drop-off on Thursday, October 1 in Alpine Hall at the Grand Hyatt Vail (noon–5 pm).

Alpine Hall is inside the Grand Hyatt Vail at 1300 Westhaven Drive, in Cascade Village, about a mile west of Vail Village.
