Beaver Creek is west of Vail on the same I-70 corridor, and everything between the two runs through Avon. Vail’s exit is 176 and Avon’s, the exit for Beaver Creek, is 167, so the interstate leg is about nine miles; the resort entrance is then a short drive south of the exit. Most visitors take the bus. Core Transit’s winter express between Vail and Beaver Creek runs every 20 minutes and is free, and other free routes connect through Avon the rest of the year.

If you drive
From Vail, take I-70 west to exit 167 for Avon. At the bottom of the ramp, enter the roundabout and head south under the interstate, then continue straight through four more roundabouts to the Beaver Creek entrance and welcome gate. Colorado’s Traction Law applies on I-70 between Dotsero and Morrison from September 1 through May 31; COtrip shows current conditions.
Beaver Creek has two kinds of parking. The garages, Ford Hall (steps from the Centennial Express lift) and the heated Villa Montane garage next to the Vilar Performing Arts Center, are in the village, and neither allows overnight parking. The Elk and Bear lots at the base offer day parking with complimentary shuttles to the village, running from 5:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Once you are in the village, Village Connect is a free on-demand shuttle from 7 a.m. to midnight, requested through its app. Rates change with the season and are on the Beaver Creek getting here page.
