The Vail Ice Spectacular is the Vail Skating Festival's holiday figure skating show, held on Wednesday, December 23, 2026, from 6:30 to 8 pm at the renovated Dobson Arena in Lionshead. The show runs 90 minutes, with a 20-minute intermission while the ice is resurfaced.

The ticketing site listed seats at $86-$126 including fees when we checked. There are no refunds for any reason. On-ice seats put you on flooring laid over the rink, close enough to feel the skaters pass; the festival notes that most big jumps and throws happen at the ends of the rink. General admission bleacher seats are first come, first served, so arrive early.

Free shows the same month

The same festival stages free 15-minute outdoor skating shows at the Arrabelle and Solaris ice rinks on several December and January evenings, a good preview if you are deciding whether to buy tickets.

Getting there

Dobson Arena is at 320 East Lionshead Circle, a short walk from the Lionshead Parking Structure and the free in-town bus. If you are driving from outside the valley, allow extra time for winter roads.
