What to order

The menu is pub food with a few long-running signatures. The duck and mushroom quesadilla is the one the pub says locals come back for; the Shroomin' Sirloin and filet mignon arrive with mashed potatoes, vegetables and gravy, and the Plum Duck pairs crispy confit duck legs with spring rolls and plum sauce. Fish and chips, Phillys, tacos and a half-pound King George burger fill out the pub side.

Happy hour

Happy hour runs for three hours from opening every night, with set prices on well drinks, martinis, starters, pub grub and entrées. The FAQ has the prices.

Getting a table

Seating is first come, first served. The kitchen closes at 9:30 p.m., and the bar stays open until close. Arrive early on busy winter nights.

The George sits in the Vail's Mountain Haus building, and the hotel lists the pub among its amenities, so guests can eat without leaving the building.
