The house and the arch

Founder David Gusky, known in his family as Davidor, trained with the Gemological Institute of America and grew up around the trade: his parents were major American suppliers of fine gold jewelry. The signature motif comes from the arches of Andrea Palladio's 16th-century villas near Vicenza, and it runs through bracelets, rings, necklaces and earrings for women and a men's fine jewelry line.

How the pieces are made

Each piece is made by hand in the house's Paris atelier and carries the Joaillerie de France stamp for French-made jewelry. DAVIDOR patented its own Arch Cut diamond and gemstones; Arch Cut diamonds over 0.30 carats come with GIA certificates and a hidden DAVIDOR engraving. Many designs also use lacquered ceramic, applied by hand in 16 house colors, from the signature Bordeaux red to a snowy white named Neige.

Visiting the boutique

The shop sits on Gore Creek Drive, one of the village's main jewelry streets, so it fits easily into an afternoon walk. It keeps later hours toward the weekend; the FAQ has the schedule and booking details.
