Getting up there

Skiers reach Eagle's Nest from the top of Pride Express (#26) or ride the Eagle Bahn Gondola from Lionshead; everyone else takes the gondola. Either way you need a lift ticket, pass or other ticket valid for the gondola.

The Marketplace

The Marketplace keeps the longest lunch window in the building and is set up for speed rather than table service. Vegetarian and gluten-free choices are available, there are no reservations, and it is Epic Mountain Rewards eligible. Exact hours for each Eagle's Nest outlet are in the FAQ below.

Winter and summer

In winter this is a ski-day lunch stop. In summer the building becomes a destination in its own right for gondola riders, and Vail sometimes stages rooftop pop-up concerts here, announced on its Instagram and Facebook. Late in the summer season the Marketplace can close while other outlets stay open on weekends, so check the hours before riding up.

Inside Eagle's Nest

Bistro Fourteen is the building's bistro and full bar, with crafted plates and fine art by photographer Gray Malin. It suits a slower lunch or a drink with the view; it keeps a shorter lunch window than the Marketplace and takes no reservations.

Simba's Cafe is the grab-and-go café for coffee, cocoa, ice cream and sweets, and opens earliest of the Eagle's Nest outlets. Good for a warm-up or a treat for children.

Upper Crust Pizza sits on the ground floor across from Bistro Fourteen and makes personal-size pizzas; Vail lists its hours as to be confirmed.

Talon's Deck Outdoor Grill is the summer grill on the deck at the top of the gondola, open on late-season weekends.

Vail Sports - Eagle's Nest is the on-mountain rental and retail shop at Eagle's Nest, useful for a forgotten item or a rental swap.
