About

Mountain Baby Rentals delivers baby and toddler gear to homes, condos and hotels from East Vail to Cordillera, and on to Breckenridge and Copper Mountain. It is run by Ryan and Francesca Manning, Colorado natives and parents of two girls, who started it so families could leave the crib and the stroller at home.

It suits parents flying in with an infant or toddler, grandparents hosting a visit, and anyone renting a condo without a crib. On request the gear is set up before you arrive and collected after you leave, so the room is ready when you walk in.

What you can rent

The inventory covers sleep, eating, play, safety, bath and changing, outdoor gear and car seats: full-size cribs and pack 'n plays, Bob strollers and all-terrain wagons, high chairs, walkers and hiking child carriers. Diapers and wipes are available too. Choose your dates and delivery location online and the site shows what is free for your stay.

Delivery and pick-up

Deliveries and pick-ups run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless arranged otherwise, and the team works with local resorts and concierges to fit arrival times. At hotels, most items can wait at the bell desk, but cribs are set up only by Mountain Baby staff, and hotel staff should not move them, so tell the front desk. For condos, pass on your check-in time and any door codes. Eagle County Regional Airport drop-off is available for an extra fee; Denver is not served.

Clean gear

Every item is cleaned with non-toxic products before and after each rental, fabrics such as sheets and high-chair covers are laundered after every use, and clean gear is stored in dust-free bags.

Before you book

Full payment is taken when you reserve, and cancellations before delivery are fully refunded. There is no refund for returning items early and no damage insurance, and the team does not install car seats, though manufacturer instructions come with them. Q. What does Mountain Baby Rentals rent?+
Baby and toddler gear for sleep, eating, play, safety, bath and changing, outdoors and car travel, including full-size cribs, pack 'n plays, Bob strollers, all-terrain wagons, high chairs, walkers, hiking child carriers and car seats, plus diapers and wipes.
Q. Which areas do they deliver to?+
Vail, Beaver Creek, Avon, Minturn, Eagle-Vail, Arrowhead, Edwards, Cordillera, Copper Mountain and Breckenridge, and, for an extra fee, west of Cordillera as far as Gypsum. No other areas are served.
Q. What are the delivery fees?+
A standard $25 delivery and pick-up fee applies to all orders from East Vail to Cordillera. Deliveries between Cordillera and Gypsum, and to Copper Mountain, carry an additional $60 fee. Drop-off and pick-up at Eagle County Regional Airport costs $60 each way; Denver International Airport is not served.
Q. When are deliveries and pick-ups?+
Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. unless arranged otherwise. Items should be ready for pick-up by 11 a.m. on departure day. To extend a rental, give 24 hours' notice before the return date.
Q. Can the gear be set up before we arrive?+
Yes, on request the team pre-places items in your home, condo or hotel and collects them after you leave. At hotels, cribs are set up and removed only by Mountain Baby staff.
Q. What is the cancellation policy?+
Cancellations are 100% refundable before delivery, credited to the original card. Once items are delivered, there is no refund for an early return.
Q. How do I pay?+
Full payment is due when you reserve, by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover. There is no damage insurance: repairs or replacement at retail value are charged to the card on file, and an excessively dirty item can carry a cleaning charge of up to $50.
Q. Do they install car seats?+
No. For liability reasons car seats are not installed, but the manufacturer's installation instructions are included.
