Where the food comes from

The kitchen names its suppliers: Fitch Ranch for beef and lamb, White Marble Farms for pork, Red Bird for chicken, Haystack Mountain for goat cheese, Elevation for charcuterie and Stem Ciders for hard cider. Chef Taylor leads the kitchen, and the menus run from dinner and drinks to a seasonal prix fixe and house-made desserts.

Après and cocktails

Dinner and après run together from 5 p.m. The bar pours cocktails and mocktails alongside wines and beers, and the hotel sums up the mood as sitting down with an espresso martini after a day outside. The walk to Gondola One crosses the creek and runs through the village, so it is an easy first stop on the way back.

Booking and private events

Dinner reservations are recommended; book on OpenTable or by phone. The room hosts New Year's Eve, wedding toasts and private parties, and the restaurant takes event requests through its website. Gravity Haus members get a standing discount here and at Unravel; the FAQ has the details.

Inside Gravity Haus Vail

Gravity Haus Vail is the hotel around Slope Room: rooms and condos, a gym with classes, coworking and a recovery spa, with Slope Room as its restaurant.

Unravel Coffee is the Gravity Haus coffee bar and roaster, operating inside Slope Room each morning. It suits an early coffee before the lifts or a light breakfast or lunch; walk in, or order ahead online.

The Spa at Gravity Haus Vail is the hotel's recovery spa, booked through the hotel.
