Fitting and rentals

Staff fit skis, snowboards and boots in person. Rentals are reserved through Epic Mountain Rentals, so you can book ahead and collect here or choose delivery to your lodging. Epic Pass holders get an extra discount through Epic Mountain Rewards.

Boots and tuning

Boot fitting and adjustments are available for the length of your stay, and Vail Sports tunes skis and boards with overnight turnaround at most locations. Being at the gondola base makes this a convenient drop for a mid-week tune.

Buying and trading up

If you are shopping for your own skis, Try Before You Buy applies part of your rental spend to a full-price purchase. For families who own children's gear, the Junior Trade Program gives credit on last season's equipment toward the next size.

Seasons

Vail Resorts lists this as a base-of-mountain store and names only Vail 21 as open year-round, so plan on Mountain Plaza as a ski-season shop. Hours are not published online; the FAQ has the phone number.
