An Italian family business

Marco runs Valbruna with his wife Amy, who skied in many Warren Miller films, and their daughters Isabella and Liliana. The family spends most summers in Valbruna, where Marco and his brothers Enrico and Davide operate the Valbruna Inn, so the store doubles as a way to hear about that corner of the Alps.

Behind the boutique

The shop belongs to M.T. Imports, the family's Colorado company, which has imported European outdoor and fashion brands into North America since 1993. It currently represents labels including Montura, Ammann shoes, Karlen Swiss, Sima leather goods and CAYA Norway; call the store if you are looking for a particular brand.

A second store in Minturn

Valbruna opened a second shop in 2025 at 155 Main Street in Minturn, in a historically designated building. It carries several brands not stocked in Vail and has an active-footwear section. The same family runs Mangiare Italian Market, the VINO wine shop and the Minturn Inn in town.

Visiting

The Vail store is at 100 East Meadow Drive in Vail Village and is open every day. Its online shop has been offline for some time, so the phone is the best way to check stock.
