The menu

The seasonal menu is pub food with some range. Wings come with house sauces from Carolina BBQ to honey habanero, alongside tenders, calamari, cheese curds and truffle fries. Burgers include a signature 8150 burger and a veggie burger, and there are flatbreads, wraps, fish tacos, a tuna poke bowl, salads and a steak entrée. Vegetarians have real choices, from the veggie burger to a roasted beet hummus plate, and several dishes are marked gluten-free.

Drinks

The draft list mixes national beers with Colorado ones, including two from Vail Brewing Company, and there are bottles and cans, non-alcoholic beers, seltzers, a short wine list and a handful of signature cocktails such as a ranch water and an espresso martini.

Getting there and ordering

The lodge is a short walk from either village, and the free Town of Vail shuttle runs past. Food can be ordered online as well as in the bar. Large tables should know that parties of six or more are charged a 20% gratuity.

Inside The Evergreen Lodge

The Evergreen Lodge at Vail is the hotel that houses Altitude. It has hotel rooms, condos and a home, a hot tub and saunas, and a summer pool, and its guests can reach the bar without going outside.

Annapurna Nepali and Indian Cuisine is the lodge's other restaurant, serving momo dumplings, curries and tandoori dishes. It is the better pick when the group wants something quieter than a game night.
