Bulk bins and packaged candy

The bulk selection runs to jawbreakers, gumballs, gummies and sours, licorice, fruit slices, chocolate-covered nuts and Jelly Belly. On the packaged side, old-fashioned names like Pez, Necco Wafers, Pop Rocks and Tootsie Rolls sit beside sour candy from Warheads and Toxic Waste and newer novelties.

Caramel apples, chocolate and ice cream

Stores with caramel apples make the caramel from scratch and pair it with tart Granny Smith apples, plain or rolled in nuts, M&M's or toffee. Chocolate cases hold milk and dark chocolate over pretzels, Oreos, caramels and nuts. Selection varies by store, so ask what the Vail shop has on the day.

Dietary needs

Fuzziwig's suggests packaged items for gluten-free, vegan or other dietary needs, because their labels list ingredients and help avoid cross-contact from the bulk bins.
