Getting there

The clubhouse is east of Vail Village at 1775 Sunburst Drive. Parking is free for diners, and the free Town of Vail bus stops at the Clubhouse stop on its Golf Course route, so it works with or without a car.

Summer lunch and après golf

In summer the kitchen serves hand-crafted salads, sandwiches, burgers and appetizers made with Colorado-sourced ingredients, and a garden at the clubhouse supplies some of the vegetables, fruit and herbs. The menu runs from a lamb gyro with shaved Colorado lamb to a Maine lobster roll and tuna poke, with specialty cocktails and Colorado craft beer for the patio.

Winter soup and chili

When the course turns into the Nordic center, the Grill switches to a bottomless soup and chili buffet at lunch, with three rotating soups, cornbread and all the fixings, plus hot cocktails and a full bar. It makes an easy warm-up stop for anyone out on skis or snowshoes.

Before you go

Seating is first come, first served, as reservations are not taken. The restaurant can be booked for private events from November through April, and gift cards are sold online. Hours and prices are in the FAQ below.

Inside the Vail Golf & Nordic Clubhouse

The Grill shares the clubhouse with Vail Golf Club, the Recreation District's 18-hole course and pro shop, which suits a lunch before or after a tee time. In winter the same building is home to the Vail Nordic Center, the Recreation District's base for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
