Morning and midday

The coffee is espresso from Seattle's Rococo Coffee Roasting, alongside chai, hot cider and spiked coffee drinks such as a Spanish coffee. Breakfast means egg sandwiches on brioche, breakfast burritos, bagels with lox and açaí bowls. Lunch is hot and cold sandwiches, from a cubano to a tuna melt, with chips or pasta salad, and chicken tenders. Smoothies run from fruit blends to protein shakes.

Evenings

As the day goes on, it turns into a bar, with draft and canned beer, wine by the glass and a list of house cocktails such as a mezcal mule and an espresso martini. Happy hour runs from 3 to 7 p.m. every day with deals on beer, wells and wine, and the Vail bar promotes karaoke on Friday nights.

Getting there

The Town of Vail parking structure is across the road, and the walk into Vail Village is a few minutes over the Covered Bridge. A second Loaded Joe's is in Avon, near Beaver Creek.

Inside Austria Haus

Austria Haus is the hotel that houses Loaded Joe's and lists it among its on-property offerings, for specialty coffee, lunch and later-day meals and happy hour.
