The wine list

The by-the-glass list is split in two: Roots, the classics the bar loves, and Flowers, the adventurous bottles it wants guests to try, from Muscadet and an orange wine to a non-alcoholic sparkling rosé. A separate rare and iconic list covers the big-occasion bottles, and the cocktail menu mixes classics with the bar's own creations.

Small plates

Food is built for sharing alongside a drink: truffle popcorn, olives with local goat feta, a smoked trout kimchi dip, burrata, deviled eggs that can be topped with Maine lobster or caviar, and a full caviar service with potato chips. A mini hot dog with an optional vodka martini sums up the tone.

Classes

Root & Flower runs hosted tastings for groups: a hands-on cocktail class, wine classes such as The Art of Tasting and Champagne vs. The World, and spirits tastings including Whiskeys of the World. They make a good rest-day or bachelorette activity; prices are in the FAQ below.

Private events and bottles to go

The whole bar can be bought out for up to 40 seated or 60 standing, and a private back room seats up to 16. Through Root & Retail, the bar also sells bottles at retail prices to take home, with a monthly email of new releases.

Before you go

Walk-ins are welcome for any party size, and reservations are taken for groups of five or more. Happy hour starts at opening. Exact times are in the FAQ below.
