Rentals and fitting

Rentals come from the Epic Mountain Rentals system, so you can reserve online, pick up at this shop or another one near your lodging, or have the gear delivered. Staff do the fitting in person, which matters most for boots. Epic Pass holders get an extra discount through Epic Mountain Rewards; the FAQ has the figure.

Service during your stay

Vail Sports offers boot fitting and adjustments throughout a visit, and ski and snowboard tuning with overnight turnaround at most locations, so ask here whether a tune comes back the next morning. If you are thinking of buying skis, the Try Before You Buy program credits part of what you spent on rentals toward a full-price purchase.

Gear for growing kids

Parents who buy rather than rent can use the Junior Trade Program, which gives credit for last season's children's equipment toward the next size up. It is a practical answer to kids who outgrow boots between winters.

Seasons and hours

Vail Resorts publishes no store hours on its Vail Sports pages. It names Vail 21 as the one location open year-round, so treat this shop as a ski-season store and call ahead in spring, summer and fall. The Discover Vail listing for this shop mentions bike rentals, but check with the store before counting on summer bikes here. Contact details are in the FAQ.

Where it sits

The Arrabelle at Vail Square: the shop is on the first level of the Arrabelle's Building D in Lionshead Village. Hotel guests can walk down to it; everyone else reaches it through the Lionshead pedestrian village. Other Vail Resorts Retail brand shops share the Arrabelle, including Burton – Arrabelle.
