Lionshead, with Vail Village a walk or a bus ride away
The core of Lionshead is closed to cars and buses, and the walk from the plaza to the Eagle Bahn Gondola and Chair 8 is short. Skate rental is available at the rink in winter. Vail Village is a 10 to 15 minute walk from Lionshead, and the free in-town bus runs regularly through the day and into the evening, so staying here does not cut you off from the Village.

Tavern on the Square is the hotel's restaurant and works in two modes: a quick-service walk-up bar with gastropub food and seating on the square, or a reservations-only à la carte meal on the mountain side and the patio.
