Wine and advice

The wine range covers domestic and imported bottles, from everyday reds to allocated names such as Screaming Eagle and Opus One, and Champagne including Veuve Clicquot. Sommeliers are on staff: general manager Val Goranov is a Certified Sommelier who has been with the store for 19 years, so pairing a wine with a planned dinner is a reasonable request.

Beer and spirits

Coolers hold foreign, domestic and Colorado craft beer, and you can build your own six-pack. The spirits shelves run through vodka, tequila, rum, gin and whiskey, including Scotch and allocated bourbon, alongside hard seltzers, canned cocktails, non-alcoholic beer and mixers. If something is not in stock, the store will special-order it with no minimum.

Weekly and monthly picks

A featured wine of the week, beer of the month and spirit of the month are marked down and posted on the store's website, a quick shortcut when the full range is more than you want to browse.

Delivery

The store delivers. Call to arrange it, which is useful on a heavy snow evening when nobody wants to move the car.

Inside Vail City Market

Alpine Wine & Spirits operates inside the Vail City Market supermarket at 2109 North Frontage Road West, so the grocery run and the wine run share one parking garage. Two restaurants listed at the same address, May Palace and SNOWFOX Sushi, can cover dinner on the same trip.
