Charlie's T-Shirts has been printing Vail on shirts since 1972, almost as long as there has been a Vail, and this is its shop on Gore Creek Drive in the middle of Vail Village. Founder Charlie Stone opened the first store here to bring good-quality apparel to Vail's visitors and residents, and the company now runs ten stores across Vail, Beaver Creek, Denver and Boulder.

It is the easy stop for a Vail souvenir you will actually wear while you are walking the Village: a sweatshirt for the drive home, matching shirts for a family trip, or a gift for someone who stayed behind. Sizes run from infant and toddler through youth and adult.

Printed in-house

Charlie's does its own screenprinting and embroidery, so most of what you will find is its own design rather than generic resort stock: arch and mountain designs, appliqué hoodies and crews, and new designs released through the season, which the company announces on its Facebook and Instagram pages.

What is on the racks

Short- and long-sleeve tees, ladies' tops and performance wear sit alongside sweatshirts and hoodies, polar fleece jackets, quarter-zip pullovers and vests, with hats, bottoms, stickers and smaller souvenirs for a last-minute gift.

Two shops in Vail

This is the Gore Creek Drive store. Charlie's also runs Vail Gear on Bridge Street, and a shop in Lionshead, listed separately as Charlie's T-Shirts Lionshead, at the west end of the Lionshead Mall. The full range is also sold on the Charlie's website and by phone, so a design you did not have room for can follow you home.
