Winter rentals

Ski and snowboard packages come in demo, performance, sport and junior tiers, with skis from brands including Atomic, Blizzard, Head, K2, Nordica, Rossignol and Stöckli, and boards including Never Summer. Demo skis are aimed at intermediate to advanced skiers; junior packages cover kids 12 and under. Every helmet rental comes with a complimentary liner.

Book online, a day ahead

This is not a walk-up-and-save shop. Ski and snowboard reservations must be made online at least 24 hours in advance, the posted online rates run 30% below the walk-in price, and a deposit is taken at booking. The FAQ has the rate table and deposit terms.

Summer bikes

In summer the shop rents comfort cruisers, e-bikes, kids' bikes and junior full-suspension mountain bikes, with helmets included. The Gore Creek path is close by, so you can ride straight into Vail Village, Lionshead or on toward Avon. Bike reservations are recommended rather than required, and multi-day rentals are available.

Staying at Highline

Highline's resort fee includes 30% off Charter Sports ski, snowboard and bike rentals, so ask how that applies before paying separately. After renting here, you can take equipment to any Charter Sports shop for service, including Lion Square Lodge North in Lionshead.

Also at the hotel

Highline also houses the massage studio Mountain Revival, the lobby lounge Pivot62 and Del Toro Mexican Cuisine.
