Sculpture

Sculpture is a big share of the collection, in cast bronze, fabricated stainless steel, Cor-ten steel, aluminum, copper, blown glass, ceramic, stone and cement. Some is kinetic and some is built for outdoors, from Lyman Whitaker's wind sculptures to Dale Rogers' steel bears and Jim Budish's bronzes.

Paintings and wall work

On the walls are originals and limited editions in oil, acrylic, mixed media and collage, on canvas, wood panel and etched aluminum, plus photography. Recent featured artists include Terry Crum, whose large paintings take on the mythology of the American West, Brenda Bogart, Holly Lombardo and Leo Posillico.

Visiting and the Aspen gallery

The Vail team is John Vickers, Jay Hoff, Suzanne Schirra and Caleb Hill; Schirra is also a painter represented by the gallery, and takes commissions. The Vickers Collection's Aspen gallery is at 525 East Cooper Avenue. In the same building, Piece Art Gallery specializes in studio glass.
