Vail Square is the pedestrian plaza at the center of Lionshead Village, framed by The Arrabelle at Vail Square and a short walk from the Eagle Bahn Gondola. In winter the Arrabelle's outdoor Alderhof Ice Rink fills the middle of it, with fire pits nearby; the rest of the year it is a crossroads of shops, cafés and restaurants on the way to and from the mountain.
It is free to walk through at any time, and it is the easiest meeting point in Lionshead. Families tend to get the most from it on winter evenings, when an after-dinner skate is right outside the restaurants.
