Vail's shopping sits in two pedestrian villages, ten to fifteen minutes apart on foot along Gore Creek. Vail Village, around Bridge Street, Gore Creek Drive and Meadow Drive, holds Gorsuch, Kemo Sabe, The Golden Bear, Annie's and the candy and toy shops. Lionshead, at the base of the Eagle Bahn Gondola, has The North Face, Vail Sports and Arriesgado. More than a hundred shops fill the two villages, and the free town bus links them, so it is easy to give each its own outing.

Clothing and mountain style
Gorsuch sells ski clothing, cashmere sweaters and home goods in Vail Village. Renie and Dave Gorsuch, both Olympic skiers, started a ski-shop business in Gunnison in 1962 and opened Gorsuch Ltd. in Vail on May 1, 1966.
Kemo Sabe is the shop for cowboy boots and Western wear, and also sells home accessories, jewelry and Pendleton wool. It is on Bridge Street in Vail Village.
In Lionshead, Arriesgado Clothing Co is a boutique for relaxed, contemporary apparel and accessories, for women and men.
Jewelry
The Golden Bear is the souvenir jeweler behind the bear pendant the company calls the Symbol of Vail Valley. Lee Kirch opened the landmark Vail Village store in 1975, Kristen Busse took over in 2006, and its bear jewelry is handcrafted in a Vail studio, the company says. The tradition is to wear a bear pendant facing your heart. The store also ships online orders. For fine jewelry and watches, Betteridge is in the Solaris building on Meadow Drive, and Lionshead Jewelers is the Lionshead option.
Ski gear and outerwear
Vail Sports has stores across Vail selling snow jackets, pants, accessories, skis, snowboards and boots, and it rents bikes. Pepi Sports has outfitted Vail skiers for more than five decades and has a fine-jewelry and designer boutique on its top floor. Home, gifts and art
Annie's, on Meadow Drive in Vail Village, carries tableware, cookbooks, kitchen gear, Limoges boxes and candles, which makes it the gift stop for someone who cooks. The Gilded Spruce is a holiday shop that keeps its theme all year, the place for ornaments.

Shopping with kids
Fuzziwig's Candy Factory in Vail Village and Rocket Fizz in Lionshead together stock more than 400 candies, including nostalgic ones, plus specialty toys.
Wishes Toy Store in Vail Village is a family-owned toy shop that has been a Vail Valley staple for more than 20 years; the staff wrap gifts while you keep shopping.
Farmers' Market and Art Show
The Vail Farmers' Market and Art Show takes over Meadow Drive in Vail Village every Sunday from mid-June to early October, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (June 14 to October 4 in 2026). Vendors are jury-selected and sell produce, artisan foods, handmade goods and fine art. A smaller Thursday Meadow Market runs in summer, and the same organizers run the Kris Kringle Market in December.
Planning a shopping day
