This is sushi in the traditional sense: no sprawling rolls list, no noise, just fish that was hand-picked that day and rice blended from ultra-premium short grain chosen specifically for its texture. That kind of care is either the point for you or it isn't.

If you want to hand the meal over entirely, omakase is available — but you have to say so when you book, so the kitchen can prepare. There is a sake selection to go alongside, and takeaway is an option if you'd rather eat elsewhere.

The reservation system here is worth understanding before you arrive. They take bookings by phone only, no more than twenty-four hours ahead, and not before 5:30pm — and they will not accept a voicemail. In a town where most restaurants take online reservations weeks out, Osaki's asks you to be a little more deliberate. Given the size of the room, that call is worth making.
