The suites

There are one- to four-bedroom suites plus one hotel-style room, Suite 7B, which can also be added to Suites 5 or 7 as an extra bedroom. Every suite except 7B has a full kitchen, and most have a fireplace, a private balcony and an in-suite washer and dryer. Because each is owned and furnished separately, the lodge's suite pages are worth reading before you choose.

Golden Peak and the village

The lodge describes its Golden Peak location as ski-in/ski-out and lists the slopes as across the street, so the lifts and ski school are a very short walk. Vail Village's shops and restaurants are a short walk the other way, and in summer the Gerald Ford Amphitheater is close by for concerts.

Pool, fitness and concierge

A heated pool and an outdoor hot tub sit on site, with ski storage for gear. Guests also get complimentary passes to Dryland Fitness & Spa inside Gravity Haus in Vail Village, collected from the concierge. The front desk, open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., arranges lift tickets, lessons, private chefs, babysitting, grocery delivery, dining reservations and in-suite massage.

Before you book

RamsHorn is non-smoking and does not allow pets or candles. On-site parking needs a pass assigned by the office, and payment comes in three stages, each non-refundable once due. Nightly rates carry tax and a resort fee; the FAQ below has the terms.

Groups and weddings

The lodge hosts small corporate retreats, family reunions and wedding guests, and can work with your planner or provide one to arrange lodging, transport, catering or private chefs, rentals, lift tickets and tee times. Group and discounted rates are paid by check or wire.
