Studios, condos and penthouses

Studios of about 700 square feet have a fireplace, a full kitchen and a private patio; one-, two- and three-bedroom condos add separate bedrooms and balconies, and most two-bedrooms have three bathrooms. Two penthouses top the range: a four-bedroom with a loft and private elevator access, and a three-bedroom with a den and a deck hot tub overlooking Golden Peak. Most residences have no air conditioning.

Skiing and summer

Golden Peak's lift, rental shop and ski school are a short stroll away, and Gondola One is about a five-minute walk, so this is near the slopes rather than ski-in/ski-out. The lodge offers a complimentary ski valet at Chair 6 and partners with Vail Sports, which stores rented gear across the street at its Golden Peak shop. In summer, guests borrow the lodge's four cruiser bikes and walk to Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, Ford Park and the Gerald Ford Amphitheater.

Pools, breakfast and services

Two heated outdoor pools and four hot tubs, split between the north and south sides of the property, are open year-round, and the fitness center has Peloton bikes. A hot breakfast buffet is included daily, with cookies and hot chocolate after skiing. The Market on site sells snacks and essentials, and a courtesy vehicle provides free in-town rides.

Parking and arrival

Parking is covered underground or in a surface lot, with Tesla chargers in the garage, and it is charged per night. The lodge's own pages quote different rates, so confirm yours when booking; the FAQ below has the figures. Pets are not allowed.

Weddings and meetings

Events can run from 10 to 240 guests. Golden Peak Gardens, in the middle of the property, is used for ceremonies and welcome parties, the Piney Ballroom takes receptions and rehearsal dinners, and The Fitz and Ridge + River host cocktail parties, brunches and private dinners. Nine meeting rooms include a boardroom for 18.

Restaurants and spa at the lodge

The Fitz is the lodge's everyday bar and restaurant, serving elevated comfort food, cocktails and Colorado drafts with views of Gore Creek and the covered bridge from booths and a patio. It is open daily to the public and works for families, après and casual dinners; book on OpenTable or through the lodge.

Ridge + River Mountainside Kitchen is the lodge's evening dining room, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing Vail Mountain, a stone fireplace and a patio. It focuses on well-cooked cuts and seasonal sides for a slower dinner. Regular dinner service pauses outside winter, when the room hosts private events and Bravo! Vail pre-concert dinners, so check its dates before planning around it.

BioMed Spa Vail operates at the lodge as a medical spa, offering massage, facials, acupuncture, IV therapy, an oxygen bar and recovery boots alongside medical aesthetic treatments. It is open to guests and visitors by appointment through its website.

Guest breakfast is served daily for registered guests and is also open to non-guests for a charge.
