Units

There are five unit types: studio, studio loft, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and penthouse. Studios and lofts have a separate sleeping area and a kitchen with stovetop, dishwasher and refrigerator; the two-bedroom sleeps up to six with mountain views. Each penthouse is laid out differently, with a king bedroom on the main floor, curtained sleeping areas in the loft, at least two bathrooms and a balcony facing the ski area. Photos show the unit type, not necessarily your unit.

Location

Lions Ridge Loop sits across Interstate 70 from Lionshead, so the lifts are a ride rather than a walk, and the villages' restaurants and shops are the same. In exchange you get a quieter hillside away from the village crowds, and some units, including the penthouses, look across to the ski area. Ask the resort how guests get to the gondolas in the season you are travelling.

Before you book

Reservations are made through the resort's own booking engine or by email. The resort gives no refunds for cancelled or delayed trips within the guaranteed reservation period and recommends travel insurance, which it offers through Vacation Guard. The FAQ below covers what we could confirm.

In the building

Local Joe's Pizza & Delivery operates in Suite 2A of the Vail Run building, an independently run pizza place with beer, darts and games on TV, open late. It is the easiest dinner for guests who do not want to head back into the villages: eat in, take out, or order delivery in the evening.
