The smallest residence has two bedrooms, and the rest run through two-bedroom-plus-den, three- and four-bedroom layouts to a pair of penthouses, so a family or a group of friends shares one kitchen and living room instead of a hallway of hotel rooms.

The name comes from the wellness floor rather than a treatment spa: indoor and outdoor heated pools, hot tubs, steam rooms and dry saunas, all open year-round to guests only. It suits groups who plan to cook some meals, swim after skiing and keep the car parked for the week.

Location and lifts

The building is at 710 West Lionshead Circle in Lionshead Village. The Eagle Bahn Gondola is about a two-minute walk and the free in-town bus stops at the door, with a complimentary in-town shuttle on top. It is not ski-in/ski-out, but an on-snow ski valet at the gondola base, run with Epic Mountain Rentals, means you do not carry skis through the village, and ski and bike storage comes with boot warmers.

The condos

Every residence has a full kitchen, a gas fireplace, a washer and dryer and a patio, deck or Juliet balcony. Units are graded Silver to Diamond by finish, and only some have air conditioning, so ask if a summer stay depends on it. Cribs, pack-and-plays and high chairs are available, and children 12 and under stay free on existing bedding.

Pools, massage and services

Beyond the pools and saunas there is a fitness room, a tennis and pickleball court, an outdoor fire pit with a grill and a lobby coffee bar. Massage is arranged through the concierge, either in your condo or in a private on-site massage room. The front desk and concierge also handle grocery delivery, restaurant bookings and airport transfers.

Check-in is at 5 p.m., later than many Vail lodgings, though you can park, store bags and use the pools from arrival.
