Location and lifts

Vail Realty puts the walk to the lifts at four to five minutes, with Gondola One the nearest, and the village's shops and restaurants are close by. That is an easy walk, not ski-in/ski-out, and the location works as well in summer, when Gore Creek and the village paths are the draw.

The condos

Units range from one-bedroom, two-bath condos to a three-bedroom with four and a half baths. Several have been remodeled: Vail Realty's unit 125, for example, is a 1,168-square-foot two-bedroom with a walk-in shower, an in-unit washer and dryer and a gas grill. Read each listing for bedding, laundry and air conditioning, which differ from condo to condo.

Parking and arrival

The building has outdoor parking, and the managers checked include one car with a rental. Keys and check-in come from the manager you book with, not an on-site desk, so check the arrival instructions in your confirmation.

Before you book

Because each manager sets its own terms, compare deposits and cancellation before choosing a unit. East West Hospitality, for one, takes a 50% deposit at booking and makes the stay non-refundable 35 days out. Pets are not permitted in the East West unit; ask other managers directly.
