Location and lifts

Vail Management Company, which manages the building, puts it about 100 yards from Vail Mountain, and its unit pages say roughly 200 yards to the ski school, the gondola and Chair 8. Either way it is a walk, not ski-in/ski-out, and each rental comes with a free, secure ski locker in the garage. Lionshead's shops and restaurants are close, and the free town bus runs to Vail Village.

The condos

Each condo has a fully equipped kitchen, a fireplace and a private balcony. Units are graded Gold, Platinum and Diamond by finish, and some have been recently renovated. Most do not have air conditioning, though a few list it. The hotel-style rooms are small, with a queen-and-twin bunk suited to two adults and a child.

Pool and shared spaces

The outdoor heated pool and a large hot tub are open year-round. There is a fitness room, an elevator to every floor, laundry in the building, and a communal patio with a big fireplace, a grill and outdoor seating. Maintenance is on call around the clock.

Parking and arrival

Parking is limited, typically one space per unit in the heated garage or a private outside lot, and the unit listings include one car free. Extra cars go to the Lionshead Parking Structure at Town of Vail rates. Guests check in at the front desk on arrival. Rentals are non-smoking and the listed units do not allow pets.
