CoralTree Residence Collection is the rental and property-management company behind a group of privately owned condominiums in Lionshead Village. In Vail it rents units at The Landmark, Montaneros, Vail 21, Vantage Point and Enzian, and every one of those stays checks in at the same place: the front desk of The Landmark, 610 West Lionshead Circle.

It suits families and groups who want a condo with a kitchen and a few bedrooms within walking distance of the Eagle Bahn Gondola, and who are happy with front-desk service rather than a full hotel. Condos are rated from economy to platinum and diamond, so the same building can hold quite different interiors at different prices.

Choosing a building

The buildings differ more than the brand suggests. The Landmark has a covered garage, a heated outdoor pool, hot tubs and a fitness center. Montaneros lists a heated outdoor pool, hot tubs and a sauna. Vail 21 has a rooftop hot tub and an outdoor lot. Look at the building's amenities, not just the unit, before you book.

Arrival and parking

Collect keys at The Landmark front desk; after hours, a lock box at The Landmark's entrance holds them, with the code in your confirmation. Condo rentals include one parking space per reservation, in The Landmark's garage or, for Vail 21, a lot. Extra vehicles are not guaranteed a space and go to Town of Vail structures for a fee.

House rules

CoralTree does not allow pets or smoking in any of its Vail rentals, and the penalty starts at $500. Someone aged 25 or older must be in each party, quiet hours run from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., and daily service means trash and towels, with a full clean on day four of longer stays.

Fees and cancellation

Expect a 6.5% resort fee, a flat damage-protection fee per reservation and a departure cleaning fee set by unit size and season, on top of 10.8% tax. Deposits are 10% and non-refundable, and the full-payment deadline moves with the season. The FAQ below has the figures.
