Vail's own site lists no all-inclusive ski package for 2026/27, so you build one from four parts: lodging, lift access, rentals and lessons. Booking lodging direct on vail.com 46 or more days ahead saves up to 20%. Lift tickets bought online cost less than at the window, and an Epic Day Pass adds 20% off rentals and lessons.

Vail Mountain opens for the 2026/27 season on Friday, November 13, 2026. If you want to ski opening weekend, start with a bed. Search Vail hotels for November 13 to 15, or look at December 11 to 14, the first dates eligible for the 4-weeks-ahead lift ticket saving.

For groups and families, a condo with a kitchen is often the better base, so compare Vail condos on Vrbo as well.

What is the best way to book a Vail ski package?

The best way depends on what you need help with. Flying in, you might want flight and hotel in one checkout. Staying at a Vail Resorts hotel, you'll get the most from booking direct. With a condo and flexible dates, building it yourself gives you the most control.

For flight and hotel together, browse Vail ski vacation bundles on Expedia. You'll still need to add lift access, which is the biggest daily cost at Vail. Our Epic Pass 2026/27 guide compares the passes.

How much does each part of a Vail ski package cost in 2026/27?

Lift access and lessons are the two big costs. These are the prices Vail and Epic Pass listed when we checked, and they change by date and demand. For a full daily budget, including food and parking, see how much it costs to ski in Vail.

A pass usually beats lift tickets for a ski trip of two or more days, if you can commit early. Vail's ticket page says the Epic 1-Day Pass is non-refundable, but it includes Epic Coverage and Epic Mountain Rewards. Lift tickets are refundable if you don't use them and request the refund by 5 p.m. Mountain Standard Time on the ticket's last day. Our guide to cheap Vail lift tickets has more ways to save.

Lodging is the biggest line in that table. Put in your own dates to see what Vail hotels and condos cost for your trip.

Is it cheaper to book direct with Vail Resorts?

It can be, if you stay at a property Vail Resorts manages. Lodging booked on vail.com comes with a Best Rate Guarantee. If you find a lower rate for the same property, dates, conditions and room type after booking, call Vail Reservations at (866) 588-6676 and they'll match it.

Two winter lodging offers were listed on vail.com when we checked:

  • Winter Advanced Purchase: up to 20% off lodging when you book at least 46 days ahead. This rate is non-refundable.
  • Winter Stay Longer, Save More: up to 20% off lodging for a longer stay.

With Epic Mountain Rewards, pass holders also get exclusive lodging savings on vail.com. They save 20% on food, lessons and rentals at Vail Resorts' North American resorts, and on the Epic Mountain Express airport shuttle. The Epic Day Pass includes Epic Mountain Rewards too, so even a one-day pass gets you the 20% savings.

When should you book a Vail ski package?

Book lodging first, as early as your dates allow, then lift access, then lessons and rentals. The Winter Advanced Purchase rate needs 46 days' notice. Vail says lift tickets bought four or more weeks ahead save the most, and limits how many it sells each day, so popular days sell out.

These dates are counted back 46 days from arrival. Peak dates are from the Epic Pass pages, checked October 21, 2026. Book lessons once your dates are fixed. Our Vail ski lessons guide covers ages and meeting points.

Which Vail hotels can you book as part of a package?

On vail.com you can book The Arrabelle at Vail Square and The Lodge at Vail, both RockResorts, plus The Hythe in Lionshead and the Chalets at the Lodge at Vail. To compare a Vail Resorts rate with a travel site, check The Arrabelle on Expedia for the same nights.

Highline Vail, a DoubleTree by Hilton in West Vail lists its own vacation packages and special offers for guests who book direct. For every other hotel, start with the Vail hotels directory or the ski-in/ski-out hotels list. If a condo fits your group better, our Vail condo rentals guide covers the main buildings by village.

How do you add rentals, lessons and transfers?

Add these last, once your lodging and lift access are booked. Each one has a pass holder discount.

  • Rentals: vail.com rentals are up to 20% off when you book online ahead. Pass holders save an extra 20% through Epic Mountain Rewards. Free delivery to your hotel or condo is available at select locations if you reserve at least 2 days ahead. Black Tie Ski Rentals also delivers, fitting skis and boots in your hotel room or condo and collecting them when you leave. When we checked on October 23, its performance ski rental with delivery was listed on Viator from $283.14 for a 4-day adult package, and the premium demo-ski package with delivery from $348.48. Compare shops in our Vail ski rentals guide.
  • Lessons: book with Vail Ski & Snowboard School online. Group lessons meet at Golden Peak or Lionshead, so stay near your meeting point if you can.
  • Airport transfers: if you fly into Denver or Eagle County, our Vail airport transfers guide compares shuttles, buses and rental cars. If you would rather have a private car, Blue Sky Limo's Denver airport to Vail car service was $975 one way for up to six people on Viator, and Mountain Ready Rides' private Eagle County airport transfer to Vail started at $325 per SUV, both checked October 23, 2026.
